If you believe in evolution, and somewhat Darwin's theory of natural selection, there is absolutely NOTHING wrong in being shallow in who you choose to date. We're attracted to good looking people for a reason.
Just a thought. Not a defense. Just a thought.

It's also psychology, it goes back to the beginning when we are babies. Babies are naturally inclined to prefer more "attractive" faces.
